Wonderful, inspiring words from Hildegard von Bingen. Reminds me of beautiful Pfälzerwald, where my wife's from and where I can never get enough of running through–only a truly higher power could create something as magnificent as Nature. Incidentally, my wife to Edith Stein Gymnasium in Neustadt a.d.W.

Keep up your great work!

At present. My wife and I are traveling the world with our youngest daughter–coming up on six years now! We like to get back to the old country now and then. South & Southwest are beautiful.

6 years! What a journey! What makes you feel home traveling?

My wife & daughter (and when she's around, my oldest daughter as well). Music and books to a lesser extent.

Many thanks, well said. With a busy crowd or by myself, I love to listen to, to rejoice in, to look more carefully into, to give thanks for Nature, God’s creation. I especially like doing so when I am walking my little dog, early in the morning or just before going to bed. A blessing! Chris

Trying to picture you with a little dog 😇. And yes to finding quiet even in a crowd. I like how you put it: “…love to listen to, to rejoice in, to look more carefully into, to give thanks for Nature, God’s creation…”

"Glance at the sun.

See the moon and the stars.

Gaze at the beauty of earth’s greenings.

Now, think.

What delight God gives to humankind

with all these things. . . .

All nature is at the disposal of humankind.

We are to work with it.

For without it we cannot survive."

— Hildegard of Bingen

What delight!

Glad you had some time on the beach! Did you have any key lime pie?

We did not! Last time we were here more than a decade ago we were hanging out at all the romantic spots. Now we paddle from play ground to playground 😎(though there are not many on key west, but a sandy beach and a bucket works ok, too😇)

Yes, I know what that type of vacation is like! Currently writing this from a trampoline park - the things we do to for our children's enjoyment!

Yes we do. Our’s is still small enough that we take her with us. I am sure soon it’s us who will need to go with her! 😇 enjoy the trampolines 😎

In the summertime we get great sunsets, so we make a habit of stopping whatever we are doing and sit on the porch for awhile. You never know what you might get until the end, so you have to watch them all.

That is a beautiful tradition! Funny that sunsets have become so much a vacation thing like it would not happen otherwise 😎 so I like your way of honoring it daily. We call our little one sunset child as she can stay up until sunset which makes for much longer days her in the summer 😇
