Thank you both for again sharing your gifts of word, thought, poem and pictures with us. When I read your post this morning it was as if I went on a journey in many ways. Such a beautiful way to begin my day. It was as if I was transported yet I was still sitting at my desk. Blessings to all.
Thank you, Almut and Chuck for your lovely thoughts, images and blessing. One thing that caught my eye was the Moravian star hanging from the ceiling I remember a few of these photos from your sabbatical. Nothing more, just thank you.🙏🏻
Listen with the “ear of your heart”. I recall my whole being feeling as if an ancestor walked in a place prior to my presence. Now, I understand that intense feeling.
Thank you for sharing your images and words, all so timely. I really did retreat into the spaces of your photographs! Lovely and a little frightening at the same time. Chuck, your blessing poem is an inspiration and an affirmation to keep building and doing our work, to not give up in these days where disaster seems just around the corner. Almut, I thought of you last week when I heard the St. Olaf College Choir sing at Wheaton College. So moving! And Dr. Armstrong spoke a similar message as you of our duty and hope.
Thank you! That quiet revolution in Berlin, Leipzig and elsewhere (if I remember correctly) astounded me when I heard about it from Leipzig's church leaders in 2015. Oh, we need that kind of revolution in every time and in every place. Oh, I long for it - here and now. . . Your photos but me right back into the churches we visited in your beautiful motherland.

Glad we could take you on this journey, Valerie 🙏

I love the Moravian star also, Cindy. Glad it caught your eye!
Wow, these words and reflection go deep within me and resonated in my soul. Thank you for perspective and witness of some prevailing good.
So good to hear, Amy 🙏

Thank you for your observations and reflections.
I am so glad you say that, Patricia. It is indeed a deep and sometimes confusing feeling.

Thank you, Stephanie, so good to hear from you! And I am glad to hear the photos spoke to your heart.
In the silence of my home this morning I hear you speaking to my heart. Thank you.
So good to hear, Wes. Greetings into your silence 🙏
Breathing walls and speaking stones…I have been absorbing those images ever since you posted. Thank you!
Lovely said, Sandy 🙏

Thank you, Carol, yes, indeed, we need that peaceful revolution which calls out those who suppress the people for their own benefit or ideology.
