Thanks Almut! I am thinking…maybe Spring is not a moment or even a season but an event—the reawakening of the Earth, the invigoration of ourselves, and renewal of the hope for “the restoration of all things” promised in the Resurrected One, Jesus Christ. Such an event happens now, yes, at this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere, but it could happen at any time, in any place. Wherever, whenever faith and hope and love become real to us. Blessings to you! Chris

Chris, Thanks for this. The "greening," as Hildegard would have it, is the continual action of eternal grace being poured into the world. It is always there, even in deepest winter, undergirding things. When I think of Hildegard and the small blue flowers in Almut's picture, I see the terrible fierce beauty of the creator shining through them. Thanks you for leading my thoughts in this direction, Almut & Chris.

Yes, that sounds about right. Lenten is just like advent the season of anticipation for that life giving event, isn’t it? Blessings to you and yours, Chris!

Thank you, Katherine, and Yes, first Spring springs gently under the old, but then, at least here in the Upper Midwest we joke, Spring takes just a day. All explodes in greening at once. So it is interesting that it is both, isn’t it? Ps: can’t wait for that greening explosion day 😎

Soaking in this blessing reminds me to be patient in all things, not knowing when and where the "juices bubbling" will take hold and produce new fruit.
